From the 2024/25 season the QUANTRON QHM FCEV AERO will gradually become the official zero emission truck of the series With a focus on Europe first, the collaborations will achieve zero emission transport during the 2024 events at international venues
2024 marks the start of the ACE Championship, a new all-electric racing series to promote young motorsport talent while at the same time supporting green solutions. Quantron AG, specialist in sustainable passenger and freight transport, shares this ethos, making it the ideal heavy-duty partner to accompany the chain with zero-emission transport solutions – starting next year.
The ACE Championship pursues a mission to redefine motorsport into a modern form that is more equal, diverse and inclusive. It empowers young talent between the ages of 15 and 25 in multi-faceted roles in the world of motor racing, regardless of their background, gender or socio-economic status. To reduce its environmental footprint, the ACE Championship exclusively uses battery-powered race cars. And they go further, by expanding their commitment to environmentally friendly solutions behind the scenes. This is where Quantron comes into play. German company Clean Tech is supporting efforts to decarbonise motorsport by organizing the logistics of the ACE Championship with its zero-emission trucks.
The hydrogen-powered vehicles have all the ideal characteristics for the long distances traveled between the various event locations across the famous European race tracks. The QUANTRON QHM FCEV AERO sets the standard for long-distance heavy transport with a range of up to 700 km, and the 54 kg hydrogen tanks are fully integrated into the chassis.
In addition, hydrogen consumption is optimized through the specially developed intelligent Q-ENERGY management system. This achieves maximum efficiency in the interaction between the e-axis, fuel cell, high-voltage battery, as well as additional high-voltage consumers.
Dilbagh Gill, Founder and CEO of ACE Championship, says:
The ACE Championship is about innovation in motorsport and opportunity. We look forward to the ACE Championship providing representation to people interested in leadership, as well as engineers around the world who haven’t had the opportunity yet and giving them a chance to step up to the next level.
“As a zero-emission racing series, it is also essential to transport our teams and vehicles zero-emission, and only the Quantron FCEV truck can provide the speed and lap times needed to move all of our teams and cars from the race track to the team locations in the shortest possible time.” “.
Nick Heidfeld, co-founder of ACE Championship, adds:
When Dilbagh talked to me about this program, I was immediately interested – no junior electric racing championship had been organized before.
“We want the ACE Championship to be fair and affordable and attract young people to the series from all regions of the world to take a step into motorsport. In the ACE Championship, we are trying to create something that gives young drivers the possibility of getting into the sport on good tracks and moving forward in their careers.
Michael Perschke, CEO of Quantron AG, explains:
We are pleased to announce this partnership with such an innovative and comprehensive team. The ACE Championship and QUANTRON share similar missions, aiming to empower diverse young communities while making our contribution to decarbonisation.
“The European-wide racing series is a great opportunity for us to show that the H2-powered QHM FCEV is the ideal solution for servicing teams over long distances with the fastest response times. It’s a kind of ‘race to road’ partnership and I’m thrilled to be working with Dilbagh, Nick and Rene Wohlmann again.” Such a challenge as a dream team with a proven track record in zero emissions.”
