According to Akebono, accepting reduced component life for better stopping power in heavy-duty applications may be a thing of the past. The company said its new heavy-duty line offers aftermarket brake pads for fleets that—through the use of new friction formula compounds—allow the friction material to maintain stopping power, while reducing wear and noise.
