Tesla has finally started delivering the first 10 of its 1000 Foundation Series Cybertrucks to customers. The all-electric truck, though a bit of a letdown when it comes to price and range, has been a smash hit for Tesla.
Everyone is now familiar with the Cybertruck’s 30X bullet-resistant cold-rolled stainless steel exterior. When we first saw the Cybertruck, we all thought this would be the most extreme feature on the car.
However, thanks to Hagerty’s Cybertruck review, we know that the Cybertruck is full of technological breakthroughs from the inside. This includes variable gain power steering, four-wheel steering, 48V low-voltage architecture, 800V high-voltage architecture, industry-leading 12-inch air suspension, shatter-resistant glass, etc.

According to Tesla’s head of vehicle engineering, the Cybertruck also features a 350-kilowatt V4 supercharger. V4 superchargers can charge the Cybertruck from 15% to 85% in 18 minutes.
The Cybertruck is so advanced inside that Tesla sent out a how-to guide to every other automotive CEO titled “How to Design a 48-Volt Vehicle.” Ford CEO Jim Farley revealed a few hours ago that he had already received this evidence from Tesla prompting Elon Musk to respond.
And given all the new technology that comes with the Cybertruck, everyone is excited to get the vehicle in their area. However, unfortunately, it appears that Tesla only intends to sell the Cybertruck in North America and Australia.
The full list of regions where Tesla will eventually sell the Cybertruck is currently unknown, however, what we do know is that despite Europe being an important market for Tesla, the electric car maker has not started taking reservations for the vehicle on the continent.
This has led many people, including automotive experts, to assume that the Cybertruck will not be allowed to be sold in Europe since the vehicle’s ultra-rigid stainless steel exterior wouldn’t pass Europe’s strict pedestrian safety regulations.
These regulations are the reason why Tesla cars in Europe have a hood that automatically raises a few centimeters in the event of an accident. The idea behind this regulation is that by raising the hood, it will protect pedestrians’ heads from hitting any solid metal, for example, the engine block.
Because the Cybertruck has a bulletproof stainless steel exterior, as well as the vehicle’s sharp edges, it was widely believed that the vehicle would not pass pedestrian safety tests in Europe.
This same sentiment was shared during Hagerty’s amazing Cybertruck review video. “The narrative that the Cybertruck is dangerous to pedestrians is complete BS,” Tesla’s Whole Mars Catalog personality commented on Hagerty’s video.
Take a look at the F-150 and Cybertruck side-by-side. This truck wall will take out pedestrians quickly. The Cybertruck’s sloping nose and AI-based active safety system are safer than traditional trucks.
Musk responded to the Whole Mars Catalog post, saying: “Yes, we are very confident that the Cybertruck will be safer per mile than other trucks, both for passengers and pedestrians.”
This in itself is great to hear because it means that Cybertruck will increase the safety of our roads rather than pose a threat to the public. However, Musk’s claim that the Cybertruck will be safer per mile than other trucks also opens the door for the truck to eventually find its way to Europe.
Although this is exciting, there is currently no indication of when Tesla plans to bring the Cybertruck to Europe. However, we’ll be sure to keep you updated if the EV manufacturer’s plans change. Until then, be sure to visit Torquenews.com/Tesla regularly for the latest updates.
What do you think? Were you surprised to hear Elon Musk say that the Cybertruck would be the safest truck for pedestrians and passengers alike? If you weren’t unlucky enough to get hit by a Cybertruck or a Ford F-150, which would you choose? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
